He Sent The WiseMen

It’s Christmas and we celebrate the Saviour. Beyond that, we see how God made provision for His son so as to ease the pressure on His earthly parents.

He Sent The WiseMen.

Many times we think about the wisemen’s visit as symbolic. Yes. But it was also meant to provide for Jesus’s physical, financial and material needs at that period in time.

Jesus was Given A Trust Fund as a Child: He was given gifts Gold (perhaps gold coins), Frankincense and Myrrh, even as a Little Child

Matthew 2:11 (NLT): They entered the house and saw the child with his mother, Mary, and they bowed down and worshiped him. Then they opened their treasure chests and gave him gifts of gold, frankincense, and myrrh.

Tradition shows that there were three wise men, but that is not true because the bible says “wise men”, this could be from two at the least to an unlimited number of wise men all presenting to Jesus their treasures.

The Wise Men traveled from one country, a far country, and come to another country to visit a new born king, what kind of gifts would they bring?

In their minds, they were bringing gifts to a king  and not just gifts for a baby shower.  These were no little nothing gifts of insignificant value. These were great gifts fit for royalty in large enough quantities so they would not offend the king or the family of the king.

Tradition also says the wise men came into the stable, whereas in Matthew 2:11 the bible says “and when they came into the house, they saw the young child with Mary his mother..”(KJV).

The poor Jesus theory says Jesus did not have a home but had to remain in the stable, when in fact they were in a house some two years later because he was no longer a newborn babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, but Matthew 2:11 says “young child”.

The only reason Jesus was born in the stable was because there was no room in the inn, not because Mary and Joseph did not have any money; they went to buy a room, but there was no more room in the inn.

We must also note that shortly after the visit from the Magi, Joseph had to take his wife and son and leave the country. They relocated to Egypt, Africa, in a hurry, in the middle of the night, according to God’s direction. But God already made provision that would cover all the travelling expenses, in advance.

As we celebrate Christmas, we must also remember that we have a caring father who knows our needs even before those needs arise. And has already made provision!
Merry Christmas, everyone.
